The New Employee Experience (NEE) department is responsible for designing and delivering programming, processes, and resources that provide exceptional onboarding and first year experiences to MITRE’s new employees. This involves pre-hire logistics and new employee support, a robust website with training and as well as facilitating engaging an new employee orientation (NEO) program and other programs that immerse new employees in MITRE’s culture, business and innovation, help them integrate and build relationships with colleagues.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Bedford New Employee Orientation

  • Facilitate presentations/discussions on MITRE’s strategy, culture, business, operations, and people programs.

  • Moderate a discussion between a MITRE Sr. Leader Speaker and new employees.

  • Facilitate new employee networking to build rapport amongst the cohort.

  • Conduct Campus tour.

  • Manage weekly pre-hire onboarding processes, logistics and communications.

  • Provide facilitation and logistics support to other new employee learning programs.

  • Manage NEE email account.

  • Collaborate with NEE Partners to problem solve new employee issues.

  • Escort new employees during tours of MITRE laboratories.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field

  • 1+ years of experience in new employee onboarding, learning and development or other Human Resources area.

  • 1+ years of experience facilitating new employee orientation and/or learning programs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain rapport with new people.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Astute attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday platform.

  • Experience with digital onboarding programs.

  • Experience event design and execution.

  • Able to learn new systems, processes, and procedures quickly.
